DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM
The flap bolt ø 800mm, made in Germany, type VAG-EKN, got holes in its cylindric part due to very high speeds of the passing medium (water delivered to chimney coolers).

DESCRIPTION OF THE REPAIR
The body of the bolt was sanded near the damaged place both from the external and internal side. It was defattened with Chester Cleaner. The opening in the body was filled in with Chester Metal Ceramic T and the internal surface was additionally protected with Chester Metal Ceramic F.

ACHIEVED EFFECTS
The cost of the repair constituted merely 1% of the value of a purchase of the new part.
